Academia
Alongside clinical work I have spent years in optometry and dispensing education. I have lectured for ABDO College of Education, teaching prospective dispensing and contact lens opticians, and I oversaw the degree course at Canterbury Christ Church University as Acting Programme Director and Academic Link Tutor.
I created module content, oversaw and directed the ratification of student marks, and chaired joint meetings between the university and ABDO College. I now hold the Associate Fellowship of Higher Education (AFHEA).

College of Optometrists · CLiP
Mentoring and supervising trainee optometrists through qualification. Where the theory finally meets the phoropter.
My focus is on family and continuing in practice for the moment, with a clear intention to return to academia in a substantive role and to complete the Independent Prescriber qualification alongside it.
